One of the most successful supermodels in the present world, Claudia Schiffer, is a 37 year old blonde hailing from Rheinberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Schiffer was born to Heinz Schiffer, a lawyer by profession. Her mother’s name was Gurdun Schiffer.

Inspired by her father, Schiffer also wanted to become a lawyer and work in her father’s law firm but she dropped the plans after she was spotted in a nightclub in Dusseldorf by Michel Levaton, who was running a Metropolitan Model Agency and signed Schiffer for her first modeling campaign. So at the age of just 17, Claudia flew to Paris for a trial photo shoot and featured on the cover page of the French ELLE. Soon she was flooded with contracts for modeling.

In 1990 Claudia received mass acclaim in North America for her “Guess?” the jeans advertisement. Schiffer was also the model for famous brand Revlon and did catwalk modeling for Versace, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren and Valentino.

Claudia’s career continued to prosper and she made it to the covers of renowned magazines such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Time. Schiffer has also endorsed soda beverages such as Pepsi and Fanta. She is known for appearing nude in the Citroen advertisement. Besides modeling Schiffer has proved her worth in the field of acting and music videos. Her debut film was Richie Rich in 1994.

In her personal life Schiffer is a married woman with two kids. She tied knots with the film producer Matthew Vaughn.
